PROPOSAL TO CONVERT CLAY COURTS TO HARD CLAY COURT

New issue relative to the Audubon Tennis Courts. Not sure if any of you saw this article last week (https://www.bigeasymagazine.com/2021/06/04/audubon-plans-to-remove-six-clay-tennis-courts-dismaying-seniors-who-rely-on-clay-to-play/). Tulane and Audubon may have struck a deal to replace 6 of the 10 clay courts with hard courts. Those who use the courts are opposed to the change, and have objected that no notice was provided, etc. They have set up a petition for those who are against the proposal to sign (https://rallystarter.com/r/622/). There also appears to be some discussion of nighttime lighting being erected at the courts, which they will do as part of the transition from clay to hard courts.
